Alaska has some of the best mountain climbing opportunities in the world; from a 6000 foot peak in the Chugach to the highest mountain in North America, Mt. McKinley. There are excellent options for quality instruction and a good logistical infrastructure to support experienced teams. For serious climbers, the Alaska Range offers some of the most formidable mountaineering challenges there are. Denali is the most well-known, but many other peaks challenge you to push your limits.
